Final week

Howdy all, the final touches are going into place. Jai has subtly modified his handlebars for added comfort. I met up with John and he is experimenting with SPDs so may be a bit wobbly at the stop offs! For me dads bike is having a bit of TLC from Craig Little and I'm giving my body a little rest before next week. Have a great weekend all and really looking forward to the off.

PS watch out for the Hexham Courant next week. And any effort on the fundraising warmly received.

Final two weeks

Thanks to those who made it for our mid week ride after work on Wednesday. Good to be able to do in these lighter evenings. John tried out his slick tyres and they are certainly quicker and quieter. With the spd's he'll be zipping along.

Not many available for ride tomorrow am so
let me know if u planning to go out.

Think the final push for fundraising is due so if you can mention it to everything and everyone then great:

Capheaton cafe

Howdy. After last Sunday's exploits with Nat, John, Alan n me on our nearly 2.5 hour ride followed by much needed coffee n croissants at ours with families. This week I managed a ride to/from work and then joined up with david Coady today and broke our ignorance of capheaton's 'cyclings mecca' cafe. What an amazing place. Tea and warm scones at 1000 and then back to the blustery wet weather to get back to the ranch. Many subjects chatted but has anyone tried padded merino wool underpants according to dave there pretty darn good!

There seems some enthusiasm from some to meet at mine on wednesday at 2000 and go for a couple of hours - back for last orders at the boathouse.

cheers Ben

Hard core remains

Wedding fever is passing but the fashion statements go on. Here is James Hutton supporting a design made exclusively for him by the fashion house of Lighthaven, Findhorn. Oooooh isn't it just lovely...

PS Sad to say Rob has pulled out due to Achilles tendinitis, and Dave has been juggling his options for a while but cannot make it.... Follow the blog lads and any fundraising more than welcome.
